Problem
Ask Autodor is an AI-powered platform that revolutionizes healthcare claim reviews. The system helps payers and cost containment firms analyze facility claims, from itemized bills and clinical charts to utilization management and medical necessity determinations. The platform turns tedious manual review processes into fast, accurate decision-making workflows.

challenge
The Alaffia team approached me with an ambitious challenge—design a fully functional healthcare MVP in just two weeks for both user testing and investor presentations. The scope was complex: an AI assistant for medical claim reviews, advanced file management, medical knowledge base, and claims workflow system. To tackle this healthcare complexity within the tight timeline, I immediately conducted a focused user story mapping workshop, where we identified the essential MVP flow: upload claim documents, AI analysis with medical reasoning, and approval/denial recommendations with audit trails.

design process
To deliver maximum value within the tight two-week deadline, we established daily client check-ins that kept the project on track and all features delivered on schedule. Through these sessions, we identified key workflow optimizations: saved prompt templates that reduced claim review time by half, and inline PDF annotations that let reviewers see AI reasoning directly on source documents without switching between screens.

outcome
Ask Autodor proved to be a success—the MVP we designed in two weeks helped Alaffia secure $10M in Series A funding. The streamlined interface and intuitive claim review workflow impressed both early users and investors, demonstrating clear product-market fit. The product continues evolving based on user feedback, with our original design foundation supporting ongoing feature development.
